Sr. Technical Accountant

Location: Irvine, CA; hybrid model with 1 day onsite per week and remaining days remote. Candidates should live within a commutable distance.

Annual salary: $77,100–$105,000 USD

What you will do

• Review customer contracts and billing arrangements for non-standard terms and multiple elements.
• Perform ASC 606 and IFRS 15 contract analysis and ensure accurate revenue recognition under US GAAP.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Contracting, and Finance to structure non-standard sales agreements.
• Complete month-end activities, including account reconciliations, revenue and deferred revenue calculations, royalty accrual estimates, and revenue trend reviews.
• Support M&A activities, including accounting due diligence and integration.
• Work with external auditors and perform ad hoc analysis for business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition requirements, including ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
• Experience with large ERP and related systems, including Oracle and Hyperion, plus proficiency in Excel.
• Strong organizational, administrative, problem-solving, project management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of public accounting experience, preferably at a Big 4 or national firm.
• Experience with contract review and revenue accounting.
• Experience supporting M&A accounting activities.
