Assurance Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Hybrid, with work in hirify.global offices in California; candidates must be able to start in January and work in San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Long Beach, or Sacramento.

Salary: $30.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on location.

What you will do

• Analyze financial statements and related disclosures to identify material misstatements and discrepancies.
• Perform audit procedures by examining financial records, transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate and test the effectiveness of client internal control systems.
• Collaborate with assurance teams to deliver quality work within client time frames.
• Participate in regional intern events, executive sessions with firm partners, and collaborative intern projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS, BA, MSA, MST, or certificate program in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Expected graduation between September 2027 and December 2029.
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing or obtaining CPA educational licensure requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to start in January and work from one of the specified California offices.
