Assurance Intern - Summer 2027 (Accounting)

Location: Des Moines, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

What you will do

• Understand clients’ businesses, industries, accounting and control systems, values, and relevant GAAP and GAAS issues.
• Learn and apply the hirify.global audit approach and related tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate clients’ internal control structures.
• Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft financial statements using prescribed formats.

Requirements

• At least 90 credit hours completed.
• Currently pursuing a B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent at an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
• Entry-level candidates must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
