Assurance Intern - Summer 2027 (Accounting)

Location: San Diego, United States. Travel to assigned client locations is required, with reliable transportation arranged by the intern.

What you will do

• Understand clients’ businesses, industries, accounting and control systems, and applicable GAAP and GAAS issues.
• Learn and apply the hirify.global audit approach and audit tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate clients’ internal control structures.
• Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft financial statements using prescribed formats.
• Contribute to multiple client engagements and collaborate in team-based assignments.

Requirements

• Completion of at least 90 credit hours.
• Working toward a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree at an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned client locations.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.
