Summer Associate Internship (Strategy and Innovation) (Financial Services): Developing branch transformation strategies, market analyses, business cases, and executive recommendations for a credit union branch network with an accent on strategic planning, member experience, and operational innovation. Focus on researching industry trends, evaluating competitive dynamics, and solving complex business problems through data-driven recommendations for senior leadership.

Location: Hybrid in Vienna, Virginia, United States; Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM ET

Salary: $26.44–$46.88 per hour

What you will do

Conduct research supporting Branch Operations priorities, emerging opportunities, and executive decision-making.
Analyze industry trends, competitive dynamics, member expectations, and market developments affecting the branch network.
Assess opportunities in branch transformation, workforce effectiveness, member experience, operational excellence, and service delivery.
Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases, recommendations, and supporting materials.
Support strategic planning, innovation initiatives, leadership workshops, and organizational readiness efforts.
Contribute to projects improving branch performance, employee effectiveness, and member engagement.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Finance, Economics, Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, preferably at the MBA level.
Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later and current enrollment at an accredited college or university.
Experience with data analysis, research, and developing recommendations for business problems.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
Knowledge of strategic planning, business case development, market analysis, competitive intelligence, or financial services is preferred.
