TL;DR
Director, 3rd Party Materials - Global Procurement (Procurement and Supply Chain): Developing and executing global procurement strategies for molding, metals, electronics, tapes, abrasives, and films with an accent on supplier relationships, category management, supply continuity, cost competitiveness, sustainability, and innovation. Focus on leading global NPI supplier pipelines, complex negotiations, supply-chain risk mitigation, and cross-functional procurement leadership.

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; on-site at the hirify.global Center at least four days per week. Travel may include 10–20% domestic and international travel. Relocation may be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $287,281–$351,122, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute global category strategies for molding, metals, electronics, tapes, abrasives, and films across the Americas.
  • Translate raw-material trends, supplier capacity, technology shifts, and competitive dynamics into sourcing strategies.
  • Lead global consumer-business new product introduction procurement, from early material selection through product launch.
  • Build supplier pipelines, qualify suppliers, manage performance, and drive supplier-led materials and process innovation.
  • Lead complex negotiations, long-term supply agreements, cost-reduction initiatives, and total-cost-of-ownership analyses.
  • Strengthen supply resilience, sustainability, responsible sourcing, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation while leading and developing a global procurement team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, engineering, and/or manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of leadership or people-management experience.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, financial-analysis, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience managing complex projects and collaborating with stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, R&D, quality, operations, finance, and procurement.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in sourcing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with digital procurement initiatives and category-management best practices.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction programs and supplier innovation.
