Director Global Procurement-Direct (Biopharma)

Location: On-site in Rensselaer, New York. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategies across CMO external manufacturing, drug substance, and drug product procurement.
• Translate category strategies into sourcing projects that deliver value to the organization and patients.
• Build and manage a global CMO procurement team, developing talent and driving process excellence.
• Manage cross-category suppliers and implement a best-in-class partner management program.
• Implement procurement technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Partner with procurement leaders, IOPS stakeholders, senior executives, and peer functions to drive strategic change.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 12+ years of progressive procurement experience, preferably with substantial pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical experience.
• In-depth knowledge of CMOs and external manufacturing, raw materials, or packaging technologies within pharmaceutical procurement.
• Demonstrated success leading global category teams, processes, and suppliers across multiple categories.
• Ability to work on-site in Rensselaer, New York, on a Monday-Friday schedule.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of sourcing and contracting tools, ERP systems, and eRFx platforms such as Oracle, Zycus, or Ariba.
