CAD Technician

Location: College Station, Texas, United States. Hybrid work may be available based on position eligibility; eligible associates may work from home up to two days per week after training.

Design and prototype products for manufacturing, repair, and support groups, including redesigns of existing products with technical complications.

What you will do

• Transcribe existing parts from drawings and physical components into accurate 3D CAD models.
• Design and redesign products for manufacturing, repair, and support groups.
• Build and test product prototypes.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in models and existing products.
• Perform minor electronics work.

Requirements

• Experience using CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Autodesk Fusion 360.
• Currently pursuing or holding a technical or business degree involving computer modeling; relevant majors include Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or CAD drawing/modeling.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues with modeling and existing products.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good mechanical background and general electronics knowledge are advantageous.
