Configurator Systems Integration Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Decatur, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Integrate new products, components, technologies, systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Create, implement, and improve engineering designs, tooling, machinery, and production processes.
• Manage the top-level 3D model of the current product line and integrate new components and systems.
• Apply design for manufacturability methods and tools to standardize designs, simplify operations, and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Review engineering changes, document design stages, and ensure product and manufacturing readiness.
• Lead or support resolution of complex mechanical system, assembly, and manufacturing issues while coordinating with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and dealers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to component design.
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and CREO applications.
• Experience with design for manufacturability, print reading, and design of complex machines.
• Must work onsite five days per week in Decatur, Illinois; telecommuting is not available.
