Gas Transmission & Distribution Supervisor (Natural Gas)

Salary: $128,000–$218,000 per year for the Bay Area locality

What you will do

• Manage gas craft teams responsible for transmission and distribution operations, maintenance, emergency response, short-cycle construction, and mandated programs.
• Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and within scope, schedule, and cost expectations.
• Oversee compliance with CPUC requirements, DOT-covered responsibilities, leak grading, leak surveys, operator qualification, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate projects and second-party contracting within the area of responsibility.
• Lead root-cause investigations for company-at-fault dig-ins and reportable events, and implement corrective action plans.
• Communicate with customers, facilitate team meetings and training, and improve productivity and operating costs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of relevant experience in utility, maintenance, construction, operations, logistics, or service planning work.
• California Class C driver’s license or equivalent and the ability to travel using a personal vehicle.
• Ability to work an on-call rotation and pass federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing.
• Experience managing union-represented employees; the role is a DOT-covered classification.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Leadership experience with non-represented employees.
• Customer service, job-related leadership, or gas utility experience.
