Operations Specialist (Gas Pipelines)

Location: Onsite in Ehrenberg, Arizona; must live or relocate to within 30 miles of the reporting location by the start date.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain gas pipelines, compressor stations, compressors, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
• Install, repair, service, and maintain pipeline valves, piping, and appurtenances.
• Support excavation oversight, air mover operations, pigging, leak surveys, and other pipeline projects.
• Coordinate with landowners, public officials, customers, suppliers, engineering staff, and management.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and train company and contractor personnel.
• Perform regulatory, safety, environmental, documentation, and emergency-response duties, including after-hours callouts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer and math skills, strong mechanical skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Availability for shift work, standby coverage, after-hours emergencies, travel, and work in extreme weather and low-light conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles over rough terrain; a commercial driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use hand tools, climb elevated platforms and ladders, and perform physically demanding field work.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening, including random DOT drug testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with gas compressor stations and pipeline system operations.
• Knowledge of maintenance tracking databases, line locating equipment, and one-call requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and other technical diagrams.
• Experience handling flammable gases, liquids, and high- and low-pressure systems safely.
