What you will do

• Lead a high-performing operations team across multiple functions, facilities, or commodities.
• Drive safety leadership through meetings, job briefs, audits, training, investigations, and site observations.
• Evaluate operational efficiency, reliability, quality, and data-integrity metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Improve crew effectiveness, productivity, resource planning, and resolution of operational barriers.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and manage employee performance while supporting workforce planning and bargaining-unit discussions.
• Coordinate work documentation and execution in line with company policies, labor agreements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in utility systems, power-generation plants, design, construction, operations, engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
• Technical expertise in applicable standards, procedures, and government or environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of work and asset management systems and analytical or reporting applications.
• Ability to lead change, communicate strategies to diverse stakeholders, and achieve operational metrics.
• Experience driving process adherence and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Nice to have

• Experience with gas turbines or combined-cycle generation.
• Electrical, mechanical, or controls engineering degree.
• Three years of supervisory experience or completion of a related approved apprenticeship program.
• Understanding of utility finance and experience working with bargaining-unit employees.
