Research Associate - In Vivo Pharmacology (siRNA)

Location: Lexington, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $70,400–$123,200 base compensation per year, plus bonus eligibility and additional company incentives.

What you will do

• Design, coordinate, conduct, and report non-clinical in vivo pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic experiments.
• Support drug candidate screening, hit identification, lead optimization, and in vivo structure-activity relationship studies, including mouse dosing and sample analysis.
• Design and conduct experiments to investigate siRNA mechanisms.
• Develop and optimize multiplexed ISH/FISH and IHC/IF assays, as well as RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, protein extraction, and western blot workflows.
• Analyze and interpret in vivo data, maintain experimental records, and prepare study summaries and reports.
• Communicate results and implications to internal and external stakeholders and support regulatory submissions and new drug evaluations.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience; or an associate/vocational degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; or a BS/BA with limited to no experience.
• Experience with in vivo models for non-clinical studies, including animal handling, dosing, and necropsy.
• Experience in experimental design and pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic applications in drug discovery.
• Strong scientific communication skills, including presenting and interpreting in vivo data.
• Intellectual curiosity, a translational mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and external research teams.
