Sr. Scientist - Drug Product Process Development (siRNA & mAb)

Location: Tarrytown, New York, United States; consistently onsite. Occasional travel to CMO partners and conferences is required, along with routine lifting of items over 30 lbs.

Salary: $109,900–$179,300 annually.

What you will do

• Lead drug product process development activities across multiple programs, with a focus on siRNA and mAb products.
• Develop and implement cross-scale models that bridge laboratory development and manufacturing.
• Characterize unit operations and lead technology transfer to manufacturing sites.
• Establish in-house drug product process development capabilities, including laboratory layout, equipment procurement, installation, and operation.
• Design, execute, and document formulation, fill-finish, and process development studies assessing effects on product quality attributes.
• Author and review publications, patents, protocols, reports, regulatory sections, guidelines, and risk assessments; present findings to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with 0–3 years of relevant industry experience; alternatively, an M.S. with 8+ years or a B.S. with 10+ years of experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt quickly to changing project direction.
• Consistent publication record with creative, productive, and insightful statistical-based analysis.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Tarrytown, New York, with occasional travel and routine lifting of items over 30 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience in biologics drug product formulation, process development, and characterization.
• Experience with analytical instruments for characterizing protein therapeutics.
• Understanding of GMP manufacturing, quality, and regulatory functions.
• Hands-on experience with drug product process unit operations and small-scale model development.
