Associate Scientist In Vivo Pharmacology, Cardiometabolic Disorders

What you will do

• Conduct hands-on in vivo studies in mice, including dosing, handling, health monitoring, and blood collection.
• Support cardiovascular in vivo models and related study procedures.
• Perform mouse surgical and microsurgical procedures, including Alzet pump implantation.
• Conduct necropsies and support ex vivo tissue dissection, processing, sample preparation, and experimental readouts.
• Partner with scientists, communicate study results, and maintain accurate study records.
• Participate in dosing and monitoring rotations, including occasional evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• Master's degree and at least 1 year of in vivo rodent experience, or bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of in vivo rodent experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with mouse dosing, blood collection, and health monitoring.
• Experience with necropsy and tissue collection for downstream analyses.
• Familiarity with cardiovascular in vivo studies, ex vivo tissue workflows, and vivarium-based study support.
• Experience with mouse surgical or microsurgical techniques, or other technically demanding rodent procedures requiring strong manual dexterity.
• Ability to work onsite at the South San Francisco campus and participate in occasional evening or weekend rotations.
