Area Manager - Floor (Fashion, Import, Jewelry, Regional, Returns, Sam's, HMSC)

Location: Spring Valley, Illinois, United States; onsite at the Walmart facility

Salary: $65,500–$98,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and potential regional pay zone and stock compensation.

What you will do

• Implement business plans for the assigned operational area by communicating goals, managing staffing and schedules, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
• Monitor productivity through business reporting, analysis, and performance management.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring training, policy compliance, and accurate operational documentation.
• Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns, making corrective-action recommendations when needed.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders through coaching, feedback, training, hiring, promotion, and performance evaluations.
• Build collaborative, inclusive, accountable, and high-performing teams while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field plus one year of supervisory experience; or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Alternatively, one year of Walmart Logistics Management experience, two years of Walmart Logistics experience, or two years of supervisory experience.
• Successful completion of all required job training and assessments.
• Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, quality, safety, and associate development in a logistics environment.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Office experience.
• Experience supervising associates or working as a Walmart Logistics Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics.
