Streaming Host/Digital Producer

Location: Washington, D.C., 2121 Wisconsin Ave NW; onsite

Salary: $30–$33 per hour, based on experience

hirify.global operates DC News Now and produces news content for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms.

What you will do

• Produce audience-first original programming for DC News Now streaming apps and digital platforms.
• Report community and breaking-news stories through videos, live streams, social posts, and digital articles.
• Produce, shoot, and edit video content for streaming and digital distribution.
• Monitor social conversations and trending stories using Chartbeat, Google Trends, and social platforms.
• Optimize website and app performance through SEO, generative engine optimization, push notifications, and social media practices.
• Coordinate coverage with producers, reporters, anchors, photojournalists, and other newsroom contributors.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in streaming or digital content production, including on-camera work, preferred.
• Video editing experience and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• High standards of professionalism, accuracy, journalistic integrity, and balance.
• Audience-focused, solution-oriented approach and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OBS and/or vMix.
