Senior Video Editor, Wild Card

Location: Hybrid role based in Washington, DC or New York City, with at least 3 days per week in the office. Residence in DC, Maryland, Virginia, or the New York City area is required.

Salary: $127,500–$140,000 USD annually, plus benefits.

hirify.global is a mission-driven multimedia organization producing news, information, music programming, and digital media in partnership with independent public radio stations.

What you will do

• Conceive, produce, edit, and publish long-form video podcast episodes and short-form vertical videos for Wild Card.
• Produce, edit, and publish audio deliverables for radio and audio-only platforms.
• Direct remote and in-person tapings and coordinate production logistics, timelines, and deliverables.
• Book guests and develop interview content aligned with the show’s tone.
• Manage weekly production schedules for multiple video editors and collaborate with producers, editors, showrunners, hosts, and the Visuals team.
• Develop new formats and improve thumbnails, titles, landing pages, and presentation across YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, and other platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of video production experience, preferably at a major network, newsroom, studio, or creative agency.
• Mastery of Riverside, Descript, Premiere, Canva, and related video, photo, and design tools.
• Experience producing video interviews and strong video editing skills.
• Ability to execute cinematography, photography, lighting, and motion graphics.
• Knowledge of copyright and ethical journalism practices, with excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines, work varied shifts, lift equipment up to 30 pounds, and collaborate effectively.
