Maintenance Shop Technician A (Diesel Trucks)

Location: Pacheco, California, USA; on-site fleet maintenance role

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel heavy-duty trucks and refuse equipment.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, suspension, drivetrain, steering, braking, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform engine repair, diesel fuel-system diagnostics, emissions aftertreatment, REGEN, and HVAC diagnostics.
• Use electronic scan tools to identify malfunctions and resolve multi-system issues.
• Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication on-site and on the road.
• Complete company training programs and support fleet drivers and route operations.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience working as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate strong technical expertise.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs in heavy-truck or automotive systems including suspension and steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, or diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8, LNG/CNG experience, and Class B or higher CDL are preferred but not required.

• Preferred CDL B.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications T1–T8.
• LNG and/or CNG maintenance experience.
