Manager, Merchandising Business Analytics (Retail)

Location: USA, Bentonville, AR; home office

Salary: $70,000–$130,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Provide financial insights and risk analysis for supplier negotiations and business decisions.
• Develop department- and category-level forecasts, profit and loss tracking, and budget inputs.
• Analyze product development impacts, feature execution, assortment strategies, and promotional performance with merchant partners.
• Lead markdown management, vendor analysis, and open-to-buy discussions to improve inventory and sales performance.
• Prepare and present financial reviews, reports, and data-driven recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience in business analytics, financial forecasting, and data analysis within merchandising or retail.
• Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including profit and loss tracking, budgeting, markdown management, and vendor analysis.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and provide negotiation support and strategic recommendations based on data.

Nice to have

• Experience with statistical programming languages.
• Master's degree in Analytics or Business.
• Project Management Professional or Six Sigma certification.
