Category Advisor

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States. Travel: 10–20%. Open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and candidates currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

Salary: $92,000–$138,000 base salary per year, plus cash incentives.

What you will do

• Lead space allocation, assortment, modular, and merchandising strategies for the retailer’s front-end beverage business.
• Develop data-driven space and planogram frameworks that improve category productivity, shopper experience, visibility, availability, and purchase conversion.
• Analyze shopper behavior, store execution, space productivity, consumer trends, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
• Create strategic category recommendations covering assortment, space, merchandising, shopper insights, and market trends.
• Prepare and lead shopper- and category-focused presentations for retailer stakeholders.
• Support the Senior Category Advisor and help teach, upskill, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data and managing complex modular systems and large-scale planogram processes.
• 3–5 years of customer-facing category management experience; Category Advisor or Category Captain experience is strongly preferred.
• Expert analytical, data interpretation, space planning, and planogram automation skills.
• Strong communication, storytelling, presentation, organization, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Working knowledge of JDA Space Planning, advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, database systems, and reporting automation using pivot tables, slicers, and formulas.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Scintilla experience preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience using Circana, Nielsen, Luminate Customer Perception, Numerator, Mintel, Kantar, loyalty card, shopper panel, or other syndicated research data.
