Senior Accountant (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for U.S. and Canadian entities.
• Prepare financial statements under U.S. GAAP and manage reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
• Manage accounts payable, payroll accounting, expense accounting, fixed assets, and cash reconciliations.
• Own ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription, usage-based, and enterprise contracts.
• Coordinate U.S. and Canadian corporate tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and regulatory matters.
• Support board reporting, unit economics analysis, and accounting process and systems design.

Requirements

• Five years of accounting experience and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience owning the full month-end close process from start to finish.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition, including deferred revenue and contract assets.
• Experience coordinating U.S. and Canadian tax matters with external advisors.
• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification, with experience using QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Rippling, and Google Sheets.

• Experience with Stripe Billing and Stripe Revenue Recognition.
