Accounting Manager

Location: Hybrid position based in Richmond, California, United States

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 USD annually, plus stock options, commensurate with experience.

hirify.global is developing a carbon-neutral public transit system using standardized autonomous vehicles on dedicated roadways.

What you will do

• Own the monthly and quarterly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, documentation, and close timelines.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff and senior accountants while coordinating priorities and reviewing team deliverables.
• Manage revenue accounting under ASC 606, including contract and project accounting, percentage-of-completion analyses, and technical memoranda.
• Oversee stock compensation under ASC 718, equity roll-forwards, Carta coordination, and 409A valuation documentation.
• Manage fixed assets, leases under ASC 842, international accounting, foreign currency, intercompany activity, and consolidation.
• Support the annual financial statement audit, tax compliance, NetSuite implementation, internal controls, and accounting process automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supervising, reviewing, or mentoring accounting staff and owning a full monthly close cycle.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP with the ability to research technical accounting issues independently.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in NetSuite.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Richmond, California.

• Public accounting audit background, international entities, multi-entity consolidation, or first-time/pre-IPO audit experience.
