GNC & Flight Software Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Atlanta, GA; on-site. The role requires eligibility to access information and items subject to U.S. export controls as a U.S. person or through deemed export licensing.

Salary: $25–$33 per hour. Final compensation depends on degree level.

What you will do

• Support development and implementation of flight software and guidance, navigation, and control algorithms.
• Implement, integrate, and test control algorithms in simulation, embedded, and hardware-integrated environments.
• Assist with control-law development, tuning, and validation for vehicle stability and performance.
• Develop software interfaces, messaging, and integrations between flight and mission subsystems.
• Analyze test data, troubleshoot system behavior, and improve software and control performance.
• Collaborate with software, GNC, avionics, and vehicle engineering teams to validate integrated systems.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Software development experience with GNC/controls exposure, or GNC/controls experience implementing software.
• Experience with C++, C, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar programming and engineering tools.
• Familiarity with controls, dynamics, simulation, embedded systems, or hardware/software integration.
• Hands-on experience through internships, coursework, research, or technical projects; GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong engineering first principles, cross-functional collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
