Intern, Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Develop embedded software for Space and Mission Systems applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on hardware-software interfaces and system performance requirements.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
• Use modeling tools to conduct experiments, establish operating data, and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and resolve defects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Knowledge of software development and testing for embedded systems.
• Experience or familiarity with programming languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Python, HTML5, XML, SQL, or Qt.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Unix, or embedded real-time operating systems.
• Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET, SOA, real-time controls, software security, OOA/OOD, or embedded systems.
• Knowledge of VxWorks, LynxOS, QNX, Integrity, or other embedded real-time operating systems.
