Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Aerospace)

Salary: Up to $114,000 base salary per year plus bonus, stock options, and benefits

What you will do

• Own strategic sourcing and subcontracting activities from intake through solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, source-selection recommendations, cost and price analysis, and commercial negotiations.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders, subcontracts, amendments, statements of work, and supplier agreements.
• Coordinate supplier compliance with FAR/DFARS flow-downs, DPAS, domestic sourcing, ITAR/export controls, CUI, cybersecurity, and security requirements.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement files and manage supplier performance, risks, changes, deliverables, and recovery actions.
• Improve sourcing processes, templates, documentation standards, and stakeholder guidance across increasingly complex programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, finance, operations, contracts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, subcontracts, procurement, or supplier negotiations for technically complex or contract-driven programs.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government contracts, federally funded programs, or defense/aerospace procurement, including working knowledge of FAR/DFARS flow-downs, source selection, pricing, and supplier documentation.
• Experience with RFQ/RFP processes, supplier proposal evaluation, cost or price analysis, price-reasonableness documentation, negotiations, and procurement lifecycle administration.
• Proficiency with ERP, procurement, sourcing, or contract-management systems and Excel, supported by strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Personnel Security Clearance and required ITAR authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with radar, RF, satellite, space, electronics, precision mechanical assemblies, contract manufacturing, or technical services.
• Hands-on experience with DPAS, domestic sourcing, ITAR/export controls, CUI, cybersecurity requirements, and supplier certifications.
• Familiarity with CPSR expectations, DCMA or DCAA oversight, sole-source justifications, and procurement-file reviews.
• Experience with NetSuite, supplier compliance tracking, procurement reporting systems, classified programs, or secure environments.
