Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite lab role with 10% travel

Salary: $147,000–$202,500 per year

What you will do

  • Directly supervise professional technical staff, set priorities, and remove roadblocks.
  • Advise the team on technical and operational matters and provide hands-on support when needed.
  • Track team and lab equipment performance and use data to drive improvements.
  • Maintain and improve lab workflows, processes, protocols, and policies.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and manage skilled technical employees.
  • Present project, schedule, and technical results to stakeholders and coordinate across teams.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of managerial experience and 5 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Recent people-management or team-lead experience in a lab, fab, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in Electron Microscopy, including SEM/TEM, or broad knowledge of metrology and failure analysis.
  • Experience managing lab equipment uptime, calibration, or maintenance programs.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor processes, performance tracking, data analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
