Junior System Engineer (Telecommunications)

Location: NYC with a hybrid schedule requiring at least 3 days onsite per week; the conditions also list Chicago.

Salary: USD $65,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, upgrade, and integrate software solutions in enterprise customer environments.
• Design system architectures and recommend deployment models.
• Provide technical support for infrastructure, databases, licensing, and system integration.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver customer administration and technical training.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including evaluations, proof of concepts, installations, and production support.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in system administration, software deployment, infrastructure support, or database administration.
• Experience with virtualized environments and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Ability to work in the NYC hybrid arrangement with at least 3 onsite days per week; U.S. work authorization is required, with eligible TN and E-2 sponsorship available.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise software deployment and support.
• Knowledge of automation platforms and workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Customer-facing or consulting experience.
