Network & Systems Engineer (Juniper)

Location: New York, NY; in-office at the NYC office, with onsite work required up to 5 days per week in Lower Manhattan and availability for after-hours escalations and scheduled maintenance windows

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, internet, cloud, data center, and remote connectivity.
• Own the Juniper networking environment, including Junos configuration, upgrades, lifecycle management, and complex Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting.
• Administer Cato Networks SASE, including SD-WAN connectivity, secure remote access, and security policies.
• Plan and execute network hardware upgrades, migrations, maintenance windows, and office, studio, conference room, and event infrastructure projects.
• Support AWS, VMware, Windows and Linux infrastructure, identity and authentication systems, endpoint management, monitoring, logging, backups, and SaaS administration.
• Develop automation using scripting, APIs, or infrastructure-as-code tools; participate in on-call support and perform cross-environment root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in network engineering and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands-on production experience with Juniper networking technologies and Junos.
• Relevant certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, CCNA, or CCNP, plus production experience with Cisco and/or Meraki.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise TCP/IP networking, Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and routing, wireless, network services, monitoring, logging, packet capture, and performance analysis.
• Experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, routing, VPNs, and cloud connectivity, together with systems administration or broader infrastructure engineering experience.
• Ability to work onsite up to 5 days per week in Lower Manhattan and attend after-hours escalations and scheduled maintenance windows.

Nice to have

• Experience with SASE/SSE platforms such as Cato Networks, Zscaler, or Palo Alto Prisma Access.
• Experience migrating between networking vendors or architectures, or working with Juniper Mist.
• Enterprise wireless design, firewall and network security, VMware, or other virtualization experience.
• Infrastructure automation with Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Okta, enterprise SaaS infrastructure, or media, broadcast, and production environments.
