Phlebotomist Test Coordinator (Oncology)

Location: Clinic-based position in Carmel, Indiana, United States; the role requires in-person work at the assigned clinic despite the general US Remote label.

What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and collect blood specimens using aseptic techniques and safe clinical practices.
• Verify patient identities, test requisitions, EMR records, and specimen documentation.
• Coordinate appointments, blood draw schedules, patient care services, and follow-up testing.
• Collaborate with patients, clinic accounts, Field Sales, and internal operations teams to maintain timely testing and reporting.
• Investigate missing information, delays, cancellations, redraws, and escalated operational issues.
• Maintain collection logs, quality control records, and compliance with CAP, CLIA, and healthcare regulations.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of phlebotomy experience, including required oncology experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification as required by state regulations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and independent working skills.
• Ability to work in a clinic-based setting in Carmel, Indiana, follow clinic requirements, wear scrubs, and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Successful completion of clinic-specific compliance checks, which may include background screening, drug and alcohol screening, license and certification verification, immunization and TB records, physical examination, and facility onboarding.
