RN - Chemo (Oncology)

Location: Foley, Alabama, United States; onsite role with coverage for satellite offices as needed.

What you will do

• Assess patients, plan and coordinate continuity of care, and document nursing interventions and findings.
• Administer medications and blood products, modify doses according to protocols, and complete required authorizations and consents.
• Perform venipuncture, access ports, maintain central lines, and manage portable infusion pumps.
• Educate patients and families, provide psychosocial support, and triage patient calls.
• Coordinate examinations, tests, referrals, follow-up appointments, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Support clinical research, assist with procedures and patient flow, and provide guidance to LPNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification and compliance with continuing education requirements.
• 0–3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience is preferred.
• Ability to work with communicable diseases, toxic substances, and oncology medications, including prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
