What you will do

• Collect, identify, process, and document patient specimens, including blood samples.
• Perform supervised chemistry, hematology, immunology, and CLIA-waived or moderately complex testing.
• Maintain laboratory instruments, work areas, supplies, quality-control records, and maintenance logs.
• Process laboratory orders and results, send external tests to reference laboratories, and arrange blood-product transfusions when ordered.
• Perform phlebotomy, patient preparation, vital-sign collection, and patient-flow support as needed.
• Follow quality assurance, OSHA, CLIA, universal precautions, hazardous-material disposal, and other regulatory procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–5 or more years of relevant experience accepted.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and specimen-collection procedures.
• Ability to work with laboratory equipment, blood and body fluids, chemicals, needles, and infectious or chemotherapy-related materials.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
