Location: Peoria, Illinois, United States; travel to satellite clinic locations is required as necessary.

Expected hiring pay range: $70,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience, education, and other factors.

What you will do

  • Lead and supervise phlebotomists, lab assistants, and medical laboratory technologists.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, daily workflow, and communication across multiple clinic locations.
  • Manage onboarding, training coordination, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Monitor productivity, turnaround times, patient flow, service levels, inventory, and supply ordering.
  • Support regulatory readiness, quality initiatives, laboratory safety, and operational standardization with quality and medical leadership.
  • Collaborate with providers, nursing, reference laboratories, and other departments while assisting with laboratory and phlebotomy operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related laboratory science field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, or equivalent through ASCP or another recognized certifying agency.
  • At least four years of laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, testing methodologies, quality systems, quality control, regulatory requirements, and safety practices.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, support patient care, and work in a clinic environment with potential exposure to biohazards, chemotherapy, radiation, and other laboratory hazards.
