Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Great Britain - London; hybrid work from the local hirify.global office with some travel to customer sites.

Salary: £80,000–£120,000 per year plus benefits and potential incentive plans.

What you will do

• Diagnose and resolve customer technical issues across deployments, integrations, performance, and operational health.
• Own technical engagements from initial diagnosis through resolution while working with customers and account teams.
• Read the Incydr codebase, use deployment tooling and telemetry, and ship fixes through the standard review process.
• Build custom scripts, integrations, and AI-assisted tools tailored to customer environments.
• Partner with engineering on complex product issues by providing reproduction steps and root-cause hypotheses.
• Train and enable customer teams through documentation, working sessions, and hands-on pairing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, including troubleshooting or supporting software with customers or in production.
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases, diagnose issues independently, and contribute fixes.
• Practical scripting and integration experience, including daily use of AI coding assistants and agents.
• Experience leading technical conversations with customers and translating issues between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to troubleshoot with incomplete information and communicate clear root causes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with endpoint agents, device management, or large software deployments.
• Experience with identity or directory synchronization, including SCIM, or enterprise single sign-on integrations.
• Experience building internal tools, playbooks, or automations for non-engineering teams.
• Background in professional services, solutions engineering, technical account management, or technical support.
• Exposure to data security, data loss prevention, or insider risk.
