Senior Manager - Hardware Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role in London, UK. Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Salary: £90,300–£183,200 GBP base salary, plus bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Lead a hardware engineering function of 10+ engineers and managers, including capacity planning, hiring, coaching, performance, and career development.
• Drive hardware workstreams from concept through detailed design, prototyping, validation, qualification, and industrialization.
• Act as design authority for electronics, PCB architecture, high-speed digital, mixed-signal and power electronics, EMC, and electrical-mechanical integration.
• Set engineering processes, design review governance, requirements traceability, technical risk management, and design assurance practices.
• Own senior technical relationships with component, PCB, and mechanical suppliers, including lifecycle, obsolescence, and secure-sourcing assessments.
• Oversee EVT and DVT cycles, prototype builds, certification support, DFM/DFA, and transition to manufacturing.

Requirements

• Experience leading electronics engineering teams, including managers, while delivering hardware products on schedule and to quality standards.
• Strong depth in high-speed and mixed-signal PCB design, power electronics, EMC design, and hands-on circuit validation and fault-finding.
• Experience managing structured hardware programs from concept to industrialization, including testing and validation.
• Experience with electro-mechanical integration, secure-by-design and tamper-resistant or tamper-evident hardware approaches.
• Experience improving engineering processes, design assurance, review governance, supplier relationships, and secure supply-chain assessment.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and PLM, plus working familiarity with SolidWorks; experience designing to safety, EMC, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FPGA and SoC interfaces, VHDL, or bare-metal programming.
• Experience with ruggedized or secure hardware products and FIPS or Common Criteria physical security expectations.
• Experience with IEC/EN 62368-1, thermal or structural simulation, and CE/UKCA or FCC/RED certification.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and Python or similar scripting for hardware test, validation, and release workflows.
