Senior Solutions Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in London, United Kingdom

Salary: £108,000–£160,000 GBP annually, plus applicable equity, bonus, healthcare coverage, paid time off, and parental leave.

What you will do

• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout all stages of the customer sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through upsell and cross-sell.
• Build sales presentations and product demonstrations for developers, product managers, and C-level executives.
• Identify customers’ technical needs through detailed questioning and present targeted Okta Identity Platform solutions.
• Educate customers on identity security and advise diverse enterprise accounts on possible platform solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and meet customers through presentations, events, travel, and meetings.

Requirements

• Experience in PreSales, such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or PreSales Consulting.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, including in live whiteboard discussions.
• Knowledge of at least one network security protocol, such as OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, or LDAP.
• Experience with identity governance and administration, including identity lifecycle management, access reviews, RBAC, and policy enforcement.
• Knowledge of privileged access management concepts, including least privilege, JIT access, session monitoring, and credential vaulting.
• Understanding of application security, sales methodologies including MEDDPICCC, and experience with large enterprise or strategic sectors.

Nice to have

• Experience with Identity and Access Management, Single Sign-On, and API-based solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable field.
• Software development experience.
