Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Mexico, Colombia, or Chile; remote/office work available. Daily availability during the US–Europe overlap window is required.

What you will do

• Own full-stack development of an AI-powered student tutor and learning coach integrated with Canvas for medical education.
• Design and maintain Python backend services for tutor orchestration, content-generation workflows, Canvas/LTI integration, and data ingestion.
• Build responsive Next.js and React experiences for mobile, tablet, and desktop users.
• Deliver end-to-end features through API contracts, state management, streaming behavior, and configuration.
• Ensure performance, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance, and security across backend and frontend components.
• Communicate with client stakeholders, resolve defects, and participate in planning, reviews, retrospectives, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Strong Python backend and API development experience with FastAPI or a comparable framework.
• Advanced experience with Next.js and React.
• Ability to own full-stack features from API design through user interface implementation.
• Experience with agentic coding practices, cloud-native deployment, containerized services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to communicate directly with client stakeholders and manage rapid defect turnaround.
• Availability during the daily US–Europe overlap window for live communication and same-day issue resolution.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of LLM and AI-agent integration, prompt-driven orchestration, and RAG.
