Senior Software Developer (BTI)

Location: Colombia; fully remote

What you will do

• Architect and build the modular hirify.global OS, a shared full-stack foundation for internal software development.
• Select programming languages, frameworks, databases, hosting, and infrastructure components for performance, security, and developer productivity.
• Design role-based access control for sensitive engineer and candidate data.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment guardrails, documentation, and onboarding workflows.
• Integrate the platform bi-directionally with Greenhouse, HiBob, and Jira, while translating ambiguous business needs into technical solutions.
• Develop a responsive, accurate search and discovery engine for the Engineer 360 talent pool.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining scalable full-stack applications and infrastructure.
• Experience building products from zero to one in early-stage environments.
• Experience mentoring or directly supervising junior or mid-level engineers.
• Practical experience with OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, and secure applications handling sensitive PII.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL foundations, modular system design, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud deployment.
• Proficiency with a backend stack such as Node.js/TypeScript or Python/FastAPI and a frontend framework such as React/Next.js.

Nice to have

• Experience with Greenhouse, HiBob, Jira, or comparable ATS, HRIS, and project-management integrations.
• LLM or AI integrations using APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Search technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Algolia, Meilisearch, or pgvector.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
• UI/UX sensibility and experience with performance optimization at scale.
