Associate Attorney (Insurance Defense)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; remote, hybrid, or onsite work options are available. An active Washington State bar license is required.

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys may also receive an annual billable-hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tier-based payments.

What you will do

• Develop case strategies that address complex legal and factual issues.
• Independently manage court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Manage a full litigation caseload from discovery through trial.
• Communicate professionally with clients and build relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across experience levels.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team development.

Requirements

• Active bar license in the State of Washington required.
• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• At least 3 years of insurance defense experience.
• 1–8 years of litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial.
• Experience with litigation timekeeping and billing systems, plus proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
