Compounding Pharmacist

Salary: Up to $68.00 per hour

What you will do

• Receive and process customer and veterinarian prescription orders.
• Review prescription appropriateness, approve compounding materials, verify processed orders, and provide consultations.
• Directly supervise, train, and evaluate compounding personnel.
• Perform and document compounding procedures, quality assurance and quality control checks, and release compounded preparations.
• Calibrate, maintain, and operate compounding equipment while monitoring the preparation environment.
• Follow USP, safety, hazardous-chemical, personal protective equipment, and internal operating procedures.

Requirements

• BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong mathematics, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to complete respirator fit testing and wear required compounding safety equipment.
• Ability to work with delicate machinery, handle chemicals, and follow USP <795>, USP <800>, and related compounding standards.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and remain active in standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and other positions for extended periods.

• Compounding or laboratory experience.
