Certified Pharmacy Technician (Non-Sterile Compounding)

What you will do

• Compound non-sterile medications, including tablets, solutions, suspensions, gummies, creams, and lotions, according to prescriptions and site procedures.
• Clean, calibrate, and maintain compounding equipment and designated workspaces.
• Stage raw materials and manage non-sterile compounding inventory.
• Maintain batch records, ingredient logs, cleaning logs, and other required documentation.
• Follow USP <795> and USP <800> requirements, safety protocols, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Complete site training, competency assessments, and annual revalidation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration and active Certified Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona required.
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience; hospital or compounding experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <800>, and non-sterile compounding processes.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate measurements, and reliable documentation.
• Ability to work safely with hazardous drugs, wear required PPE, obtain medical approval for respiratory protection, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
• Previous compounding experience.
