Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Location: On-site at the New Albany, Ohio facility. Day shift: 6:00am–6:30pm on a rotating 2-2-3-2 schedule.

Salary: $33 per hour for US-based candidates; location-based ranges may apply elsewhere.

What you will do

• Compound sterile medications under pharmacist supervision using USP 797 practices.
• Prepare components and formulations, perform aseptic filling, and inspect and package filled units.
• Support cleanroom operations through materials preparation, equipment calibration, cleaning, dishwashing, sterilization, and depyrogenation.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities in accordance with facility SOPs.
• Document compounding and operational activities as required by facility SOPs and USP 797.
• Communicate with pharmacists, report laboratory issues, use equipment as instructed, and complete required USP 797 training.

Requirements

• Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in Ohio and national CPhT certification.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Availability for a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Ability to work onsite with hazardous drugs and wear required PPE, including respiratory protection.
• Medical approval to wear negative- or positive-pressure respirators, including N95, full-face respirator, SCBA, or PAPR.
• Ability to stand for up to 100% of the shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform the required physical activities during shifts of up to 12 hours.

Nice to have

• At least one year of nonsterile or sterile compounding experience.
• Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) certification.
