Risk & Analytics Intern (SQL/Python)

Location: Hybrid at the downtown Chicago HQ, with in-office work two days per week; candidates must be local or able to relocate independently.

What you will do

• Monitor funnel and loan performance metrics, reports, and dashboards.
• Establish performance metrics and build automated reporting and alerting with SQL and Python.
• Analyze trends and identify root causes of changes in funnel and loan performance.
• Recommend and evaluate optimization strategies for funnel and underwriting performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategy changes, releases, and impact analysis.
• Analyze A/B testing data for funnel and underwriting optimization experiments.

Requirements

• Current junior or incoming senior studying mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Data analysis experience with Python.
• Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree studies in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience with business intelligence tools.
