Reporting and Compliance Analyst Intern - MN

Location: Minneapolis, MN, United States; hybrid schedule with in-person work at the Marshall Operations Center at least three days per week, with core days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Salary: $20.90–$22.10 per hour

What you will do

• Support analytical, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives for energy supply compliance programs.
• Map process data, build queries across multiple databases, and develop data checks using PowerBI or similar analytics tools.
• Collect, validate, analyze, and organize operational data for reporting, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and process improvements.
• Enhance or develop dashboards that track operational metrics for plant teams and maintain their accuracy and usability.
• Update program and training documentation and migrate training content into learning management systems.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, IT support teams, vendors, and stakeholders while managing small to medium improvement projects.

Requirements

• Current junior-level student or higher, enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer and up to 20 hours per week during the school year.
• Able to commute to the designated Minneapolis work location and work in person at least three days per week.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Python, Java, VBA, SQL, Databricks, or PowerBI.
• Coursework or experience in data analytics, engineering, or business analytics.
