Contract Student Worker - Data Analyst (Part-time)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; on-site

Zoox is an autonomous ride-hailing company developing a fully electric, purpose-built robotaxi and autonomous transportation technology.

What you will do

• Write Databricks notebooks to mine highway scenarios, create datasets, and build monitoring dashboards.
• Analyze large-scale vehicle logs and simulation data to evaluate event coverage and exposure rates.
• Identify performance issues and data gaps in highway data collection.
• Prepare data analysis reports.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Python in production environments using standard repository practices.
• Experience working with time-series or sensor data.
• Currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S. program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Available to work on-site in Foster City.
• Available for a minimum six-month assignment and at least 20 hours per week.
• Must follow Zoox confidentiality requirements and not disclose proprietary information in academic research, theses, publications, or presentations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with robotics or autonomous-vehicle data.
• Machine learning experience.
• Robotics experience.
