TL;DR
Electrical Engineer (F/M/D) – Maternity Leave Cover (Electronics) (PCB design, power management, and mobile mapping hardware): Building, testing, and troubleshooting custom electronics for mobile mapping systems with an accent on multilayer PCBs, high-speed signals, power management, and hardware validation. Focus on prototyping, setting up characterization tests, solving hardware issues, and supporting the transition from prototype to production.

What you will do

  • Build, test, and troubleshoot electrical prototypes using soldering tools, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters.
  • Design and develop multilayer PCBs with high-speed signals and power management.
  • Build test setups and characterization components with senior electrical engineers.
  • Support hardware bring-up, testing, validation, and production ramp-up.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Design, Embedded Software, Supply Chain, and Software Engineering teams to integrate electrical systems.
  • Document test results and improve hardware reliability, performance, and manufacturability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an electrical or electronics engineer in product development.
  • PCB design experience with Altium, Eagle, or KiCad.
  • Hands-on prototyping and soldering skills, with confidence using oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi and basic programming experience, ideally in Python.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills for working across engineering and supply chain functions.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Linux or firmware development.
  • Experience with power electronics or hardware characterization beyond entry-level exposure.
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment beyond basic laboratory tools.
