TL;DR
Working Student (m/f/d) - Electronics & Mechatronics Engineering (Industrial IoT): Supporting Industrial IoT project teams by building, assembling, and testing electronic and mechatronic prototypes with an accent on hands-on electronics, sensors, actuators, and PCB design. Focus on prototyping hardware, working with microcontrollers and communication protocols, and integrating electronics with mechanical systems.

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid work setup

Salary: €16–€22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

What you will do

  • Support Industrial IoT project teams at the interface of electronics and mechanics.
  • Build, assemble, and test electronic and mechatronic prototypes in the workshop.
  • Work with sensors, actuators, motors, and related hardware.
  • Apply hands-on electronics skills, including soldering, prototyping, and reading schematics.
  • Contribute to small, agile project teams and participate in technical project matching and kickoffs.

Requirements

  • Currently studying Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with electronics, including soldering, prototyping, and reading schematics.
  • Interest in mechatronic systems and the interaction between electronics and mechanics.
  • Practical, hands-on mentality and willingness to work in a workshop environment.
  • Good command of English.
  • Curiosity about low-level topics such as UART, SPI, and I2C communication protocols.

Nice to have

  • Initial experience with PCB design using KiCad or Altium.
  • Basic programming experience in C or C++.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, or Arduino.
