Business Systems Analyst Consultant (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Lead business analysis for large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate complex business, functional, data, and technical requirements.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, architects, and developers.
• Support Agile and SAFe ceremonies, backlog management, PI Planning, release planning, testing, and production deployments.
• Perform SQL-based data analysis using Oracle and other database platforms.
• Define requirements for APIs, REST services, microservices, and system integrations while identifying process and system improvements.

Requirements

• In-office availability in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX is required.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst Lead, Senior Business Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst.
• Strong experience in the financial services industry and in gathering and documenting complex business and technical requirements.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, including data analysis with Oracle and other database platforms.
• Experience with APIs, REST services, API testing tools such as Postman, Agile methodologies, Jira, and SDLC practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• CBAP certification.
• Experience mentoring junior Business Analysts and supporting Agile maturity initiatives.
