Senior Functional Analyst (Agile/SAFe)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 annually

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, product and business owners, IT teams, systems engineers, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, requirements, tests, defects, risks, and impediments in JIRA.
• Facilitate user interviews, requirements workshops, backlog refinement, Agile sessions, and Sprint activities.
• Track traceability, project and product metrics, integration impacts, execution status, and delivery risks using SAFe practices.
• Serve as a product functional subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience; a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong software development background and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, research, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in an Agile environment, Veterans Affairs programs, VA SQA testing, or a federal health agency.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, claims processing, or Veterans Independence Program applications.
