Senior Functional Analyst (Agile/SAFe)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 annually

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, test cases, defects, risks, and impediments in JIRA.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and develop business process models and formal specifications.
• Coordinate with customers, product and business owners, systems engineers, developers, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Track traceability, integration, project risks, execution metrics, and product status across the Agile development lifecycle using SAFe.
• Serve as a functional subject matter expert, mentor junior analysts, support Sprint teams, and remove impediments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
• Ten years of professional experience; an additional ten years may substitute for education.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Strong software development, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework experience, including expertise with JIRA and large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills, strong analytical and communication abilities, attention to detail, customer service skills, and problem-solving experience.

Nice to have

• Veterans Affairs Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or Federal Health Agency experience.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Healthcare billing and claims processing application knowledge.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
